Thanks for this one! I respect your candor and willingness to be so gut-level honest. I relate on virtually all counts. It&#039;s a lesson in duality. I&#039;m not sure the pursuit of being alone is unhealthy or wrong in any way though. For me, it has become a practice in awareness. Sort of like a meditation. The context is what&#039;s important I suppose. Social gatherings are wrought with energy-sucking groups of people. I attended a conference on Flash in the summer and had a similar experience. The cost of so called &quot;loneliness&quot; seems easier to pay than that of external validation. Anyway, it seems rare that brilliance ever emerged from said groups of people. It almost always comes from one person seeking out the deepest part of themselves through retreat and reflection.
