When it comes to art and subjectivity, one man's 20% is another man's 80%. Just to clarify, I didn't run out of thoughts. The horns and synth at the end were thought out and carefully arranged. Besides, I can think of many songs that end instrumentally on a vamp so to say that a song "shouldn't" do that is obviously not a hard rule but your personal preference. Also, your comments are regarding the arrangement and not the song. The lyrics and melody make up the song. Not the instrumentation or production. Those are separate processes and facets of the music. Still, I appreciate some of your comments. About 20% of them. heh.

Uhh the 80 20 rule huh? This song you left out the 20% at the end. SOunds like you ran out of thoughts and decided just to jam the rest out to fill the track. C'mon when you prop yourself up with a theory shouldn't you practice what you preach? A song shouldn't have almost a minute of the same progression with just extra fills at the end. I rate it a 3 maybe only because it does have a nice hook or two. But to just jam it out sems like an unfunished statement by the writer. JMHO

Love that distorted vocal on the verse! Great development, powerful song theme, solid bass line, and a groove I can thump to. What more is there? Nice work Graham :-)

Peace,
Rich
