NLP Advanced Language Patterns Mastery Day 3: Changing Time Frame

Changing Time Frame – Today, think of a limitation and a resource. For example, believing you are not intelligent could be a limitation and learning something new could be a resource. Put 1, 2, 3 in any of the boxes of the chart below. Use words to match the sequence of numbers in the boxes of the chart (Do not use the words “past”, “present”, and “future”). Notice how this exercise affects your limitation.

|              |  Past  |  Present  |  Future  |
|  Limitation  |        |           |          |
|  Resource    |        |           |          |

Example:

|              |  Past  |  Present  |  Future  |
|  Limitation  |   1    |           |          |
|  Resource    |        |     2     |    3     |

“Since you used to believe you weren’t intelligent, and now that you are learning new things about yourself, perhaps you’ll find yourself continuing to learn new and wonderful things?

Extra credit: Do this exercise with a willing participant.
