I designed an NLP advanced language patterns mastery series to help you move through the following four stages of learning as you integrate these language skills:
- Unconscious incompetence
- Conscious incompetence
- Conscious competence
- Unconscious competence
I’ll post a new language pattern each day. After completing the series once, feel free to use it a second or third time until you have reached your desired level of competence. You’ll find the entire series under the tag NLP Language Patterns
Verb Relaxes – Notice the shifts in your internal representations (i.e. associated, dissociated, submodality distinctions, etc.) and perceptual positions with the following verb forms:
I will dance.
Compare these with the preceding forms, paying special attention to the submodality distinction of slide vs. movie.
I was dancing.
I am dancing.
I will be dancing.
Notice that each of these forms involves multiple points along the timeline.
I had danced.
I have danced.
I will have danced.
I hope to dance.
I was glad to have danced.
I will be thrilled to have danced.
Today, as you talk to yourself or to other people, notice how people represent their limitations or desired outcomes. In private, play with changing the verb forms and notice how you respond to the changes.
