0 CommentsThrow my spirit to the wind I will surely fly
No cage in this life, just earth’s laws to get us by
And when freedom sings
That’s when life begins
In the here and now
Aware to look around
Leave it all to the past, I was just born today
All that I possess is what gets me through the day
And the music plays
And in many ways
There’s no history
It’s all new to me
Chorus:
And I need north to be true
Or spin lost in this CIRCLE
And now my days to be are few
There’s no mercy in CIRCLES
One day you’re gonna turn around
And find that you wanted to be a…

2 CommentsWarning: Explicit lyrics. I wrote this years ago. Probably between 1998 and 2000. I could nail it down but I don’t really care that much. It’s a smooth laid back rap by me with a guitar solo from David Gelfand. But what really gets me is Brian Sach’s drums. Brian and I were riding the same waveform. Cmin7 64bpm.

0 CommentsYou disappeared and threw away love without a trace
It’s such an easy erase of old friends you can’t face
My concern was distorted somehow in your brain
I can’t tell if you’re sane
How could you be so vain
Chorus:
Now you’re GONE, GONE
No longer we
And you’re down on me
You’re down on me
You cut the cord and confusion is all that remains
Now you’re stuck in your game
Are you free from your pain
Looking back I admit I got caught in the chase
But time is to good to waste
Now I welcome the space
Chorus:
Now you’re GONE, GONE
No longer we
And you’re down on me
You’re down on me

March 11, 2006
0 CommentsHe’s been looking for the wise man
Who lives up on the hill
Still he hasn’t found him
Probably never will
But that don’t stop him searching
Both far and near
Looking for the reason
Will it ever appear?
Chorus:
Hold me in your arms
Keep me company
Take me from the sorrow
RESCUE ME
He thinks he sees the answer
In a stranger’s face
Just a second later
He is gone without a trace
Could’ve said I want you
But he was denied
Instead of hesitating
He should’ve tried
Chorus:
Hold me in your arms
Keep me company
Take me from the sorrow
Set me free
Clean away the cobwebs
So I can see
Teach me how to fly high
RESCUE ME
