Songwriter, Recording Artist, and Blogging Musician
This song was inspired by Dance Punk artists like LCD Soundsystem and !!! and by an episode of WNYC’s Radio Lab on the Wright Brothers.
A smooth and silky dark 100bpm groove in Cmin.
This is an iPod recording of me playing with an Fmin7 funk riff at 110bpm on the hammond organ, wah wah clav, and Trinity synth bass.
Melody added. I came back from the pub after a couple of… ahem… a few pints with a melody inspired by the divine feminine. Awww yeah.
Hammond organ, wurly, and clav in Amin over a 105bpm Apple loop.
iPod recording. hammond organ and Trinity synth bass Ebmin7 | Ab7 100bpm funk.
This is an iPod recording in the key of Gmin (Dorian) at 100bpm. Hammond and wah wah clav start it out.
Warning: Explicit lyrics. I wrote this years ago. Probably between 1998 and 2000. I could nail it down but I don’t really care that much. It’s a smooth laid back rap by me with a guitar solo from David Gelfand. But what really gets me is Brian Sach’s drums. Brian and I were riding the same waveform.
Baby I’m a Star by Prince. I f’ed up the form on the yesterday’s version. Now I’ve got it right. I’ll put the vocals and more synth down tomorrow. 140bpm in the key of D.
A 90bpm funk Gmin7 groove (Dorian). No vocals in this but it’s got a nasty groove played by a moth3rfuck3r. Maybe it’s the K2600 to my left.
I set up my clav above the hammond and the wurly to the right. The hammond has two mics on it and the wurly is direct. The clav is direct and running through a Line 6 Pod. The sample is an Apple Loop. Don’t remember the name. Abmin13 120bpm.
