This time I tried to write a melody that used only three notes.

I cowrote this song many years ago with my former band, Fear The Monk. I had very little to do with the writing actually. I think I came up with a portion of the melody in the verse but none of the lyrics. I dig the groove in the chorus but not much more than [...]

Melody added. I came back from the pub after a couple of… ahem… a few pints with a melody inspired by the divine feminine. Awww yeah.
This is an iPod recording of Prince’s How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore. I recorded this just over a year ago for my girlfriend.
This is an edit of the track before. It’s a pop rock ballad (u2, coldplay); EbMAJ7, BbMAJ7. You can hear the verse and chorus shaping up with a melody, form and changes. I’m going to write the lyrics and FINISH this one.
This is the work in progress of the next song. No need to listen to this unless you want to hear me composing. Around 12:00 I start to find what I’m looking for.
