A funky blues about a devious woman.
This song was inspired by Dance Punk artists like LCD Soundsystem and !!! and by an episode of WNYC’s Radio Lab on the Wright Brothers.
I wrote this with two things in mind. First, picture a group of super hip guys and one really hot girl in a get away car after an extremely intricate and adrenaline boosting heist. This is the soundtrack.
I started this just over a week ago but have been too busy to spend much time writing or recording. Lame.
A whole bunch of funky blips and bleeps in C#min at 110bpm. I’ve got a hook to go with this but have yet to record it.

Hammond organ, wurly, and clav in Amin over a 105bpm Apple loop.
Cleaned up 120bpm electronic groove in Dmin. It’s multiple takes of me playing over top of everything else.
Practicing Bb rhythm changes on the hammond organ at 130bpm.
This is an iPod recording of a funky Bb7alt swing groove at 130bpm on the Hammond.
This is an iPod recording in the key of Gmin (Dorian) at 100bpm. Hammond and wah wah clav start it out.
I'm a songwriter and recording artist who sings, plays keyboards, and explores the vast world of sound hoping to find some magical moments along the way. I'm also a Mac geek.
