I started this just over a week ago but have been too busy to spend much time writing or recording. Lame.
I wrote this with two things in mind: (1) working out, (2) a heist. So if you can imagine me training for The Italian Job, then you get the picture.

I think I came up with a portion of the melody in the verse but none of the lyrics. I dig the groove in the chorus but not much more than that. There’s tons of lyrical problems and the melody lacks contrast or interest. But we put so much sweat into it that I want to give it a home here in the archive.
It’s been a long time
It’s bitter sweet to see you
I’m going home now
Your streets aren’t as mean
It’s like a movie
Where every thing’s distorted
Situations, never would have dreamed
There was no where to hold on to
When the door closed on the train
So much stronger
No bridges to cross
It’s been a long time
This town will never change
Ants proudly marching
Past houses built of boxes
They stare ahead here
Eyes rarely meet
The doors fly open
And fly passed the masses
Between the people
The steam paints the streets
She awakened from her trance
When the man called her name
So much stronger
No bridges to cross
It’s been a long time
This town will never change
Well it’s a dog fight
The winners still lose
This islands sinking
Sir can you spare some change
Such a long time it’s been, such a long time
Such a long time it’s been, such a long time
Such a long time, such a long time, such a long time
So much stronger
No bridges to cross
It’s been a long time
This town will never change
Well it’s a dog fight
The winners still lose
This islands sinking
Sir can you spare some change

I planed mostly in Dorian but i think it would sound better in Aeolian.
