From Chicken and Egg Problem Solved:
Java Pimp writes “It seems scientists and philosophers now agree which came first. The Egg. From the CNN article: ‘Put simply, the reason is down to the fact that genetic material does not change during an animal’s life. Therefore the first bird that evolved into what we would call a chicken, probably in prehistoric times, must have first existed as an embryo inside an egg. Professor John Brookfield, a specialist in evolutionary genetics at the University of Nottingham, told the UK Press Association the pecking order was clear.’ So, does this mean we can now show P=NP?”
I always argued that the egg came first because reptiles came before birds. But I’m no fancy-shmancy scientist.

(No Ratings Yet)From Acupressure outfits:
New York College of Health Professions announced today that it has received an exclusive license on a patented, new line of clothing and accessories that provide the benefits of acupressure to specific points when in contact with the body. This product line is so easy to use that it can be self administrated by the wearer during sports activities.
Look for MyChi(TM) clothing and accessories and for the technology to be licensed by clothing companies like Nike, Adidas, etc. No date announced.
Now we need computers with Q-Link technology built in.

We started Openbusiness to share knowledge about business models that give a substantial portion of their main product away for free. By “free” we meant free as in “freedom” and also as in “free beer”, paraphrasing Richard Stallman’s famous illustration of the difference between “freed” from restrictions of intellectual property law and a product which literally costs nothing.
Everyone is free to edit the OpenBusiness Wiki. For more information, What is an OpenBusiness? is a good place to start.

On the other hand, putting an extra click between the visitor and the advertiser is probably going to lower CTR compared to text ads. But the visitor might be more qualified so I predict the conversion rate will increase. The real test of video ads will be ROI.
Also, you’ll have to convince Adsense publishers that it’s a worthwhile switch from text to video ads.

Seattle-based Farecast, now in private beta, is an airfare pricing comparision tool that also uses a predictive algorithm to recommend when you buy your ticket. So the idea is to show the user not just who has the cheapest ticket, but whether or not waiting might make sense as well. Look for Minneapolis-based Flyspy to launch a similar service in the near future.
I’m mainly linking to this so it’s in my database of intentions. But I also thought it was a cool find - once it comes out of private beta.

You could easily mistake me for a new age, bleeding heart liberal. I'm not. I consider myself to be a post-liberal, integral thinker.
